Ali Aminian, M.D. 

 Director of Bariatric and Metabolic Institute at the Cleveland Clinic and a Professor of

Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. 

As an academic surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, 

Dr. Aminian has been involved in clinical and experimental research on the role of minimally

invasive gastrointestinal procedures in the management of obesity, diabetes, metabolic disease, and fatty

liver disease. 

He has an outstanding record of peer-reviewed publications (>250) in high-impact journals

including the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, Diabetes Care, and Annals of Surgery. His studies have been widely covered by the media such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, TIME, CNN, Reuters, Newsweek, and Forbes, indicating their importance from a public health perspective.
