Dr Billy has been practicing bariatric surgery in Ventura California since 2002. He is actively involved in the
ASMBS and is currently a member of the executive council. His area of interest is emerging technologies
such as exploring the role of ICG and magnetic anastomosis in bariatric surgery. He has played an
instrumental role in obtaining endorsement by the ASMBS for the OAGB. He is an active faculty member at
the locsl surgical residency training program where he teaches minimally invasive surgery to residents and
fellows. He does his best remain active in research and is involved in publishing his results whenever
possible. He enjoys international travel and restoring 1960's volkswagen and porsche cars
