Specialized surgeon in both Bariatric and upper gastrointestinal oncology. With over 20
years in surgery, he has dedicated 15 years to bariatric and gastric cancer surgeries. His medical journey
began with general surgery training at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center. Here, he
also completed a fellowship in Upper GI and Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr. Aburahmah further honed his
skills on a scholarship in South Korea, where he specialized in robotic gastrointestinal oncology surgery at
Yonsei University. His commitment to excellence took him to McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario,
Canada, where he achieved dual fellowships in Bariatric and Advanced Gastrointestinal Minimally Invasive
Surgery. Appointed in 2015 as a consultant and assistant professor at both King Faisal Specialist Hospital
and Research Center and Alfaisal University, he currently runs his private practice and consults for various
organizations and institutes.
